Bodega Alta Vista
Bodega Alta Vista is located in Chacras de Coria, 15 kilometers south of the city of Mendoza, in one of the regions of Argentina most suited for viticulture. It is one of the oldest realities in the area, and its headquarters is still located today within a historic building from 1899, which was renovated in 2003, preserving the ancient architectural structures and modernizing only the technological equipment for winemaking. The choice to use small tanks, suitable for vinifications carried out for single parcels, allows for the best enhancement of the terroir. Since the first harvest in 1998, the winery has always pursued a single goal: to produce wines of excellent quality capable of bringing the essence of Argentine tradition into the glass.
The winery can count on a magnificent estate of 211 hectares divided into five different farms, all at an altitude of over 1000 meters. The Alizarina vineyard, located in Las Compuertas, Luján de Cuyo, is cultivated with old Malbec vines from 1923 and yields grapes of extraordinary expressive richness. The Temis vineyard is located in El Cepillo, in the Valle de Uco, in a desert and stony area ideal for obtaining Malbec of remarkable finesse. The Azamor farm in Las Compuertas Luján de Cuyo is the latest acquisition. It was chosen for its poor soils and the strong temperature excursions, ideal for promoting slow ripening of the grapes. Finally, the Albaneve vineyard in the Valle de Uco is located in an area with a cool climate, under the peaks of the Cordón del Portillo, and has proven to be very suitable for cultivating, in addition to Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Chardonnay. The Mendoza estate has also added a property in Cafayate, near Salta, at 1200 meters above sea level.
The awareness of the importance of terroir and the enhancement of its characteristics to produce great wines has driven Alta Vista to manage each vineyard individually, in order to always achieve the best results. Pruning is carried out in relation to the vigor of the plants, the characteristics of the soils, and the wines that are to be obtained. Harvests are
