Cantina Rotaliana
Cantina Rotaliana is a historic social winery that boasts over 80 years of experience and gathers within it a high number of winemakers who cultivate indigenous grapes in the Piana Rotaliana and other areas such as Val di Non and Val di Cembra. All areas particularly suited for vine cultivation, which have been preserved for generations by winemakers in the sign of ancient local tradition and in respect of nature. The Piana Rotaliana is certainly the most important area, where 160 hectares of the total 400 belong to the member conferers of the winery and are cultivated with different clones of Teroldego, the queen grape of Trentino, followed by small percentages of Lagrein and other white grapes. The vineyards are extraordinary, sculpted, cared for, nourished with a unique love and worked with a constant search for high quality. Only in this way are the wines of Cantina Rotaliana ambassadors of the territory and considered among the best regional expressions, capable of asserting themselves even in the international market.
The Cooperative Winery was founded in 1931 and only in 1968, following the merger with another company, it changed its name to Cantina Rotaliana di Mezzolombardo, dedicating it to the small and ancient village where the legal headquarters is located. A synonym of tradition, innovation, and quality in the Trentino region, over the years it has become a reference point for the entire region and in the global market through the unstoppable activity of farmers, the pursuit of perfection, the constant modernization of the winery, and the construction of prestigious architectural facilities. The vines, located at the foot of the Dolomites, near the city of Trento and close to Lake Garda, take root in very fertile alluvial soils of different compositions. The grapes are harvested by hand and then brought to the winery where they ferment in steel and age in wood.
The wines reach very high levels of excellence and are appreciated for their precision, elegance, and purity, revealing a balanced and never out-of-place texture. The beautiful interpretations of Trento Doc are accompanied by great reds forCantina Rotaliana is a historic social winery that boasts over 80 years of experience and gathers within it a high number of winemakers who cultivate indigenous grapes in the Piana Rotaliana and other areas such as Val di Non and Val di Cembra.
