Conte Loredan Gasparini - Venegazzù

Few wineries can boast a tradition and prestige like that of Conte Loredan Gasparini, located in Venegazzù, a small hamlet of Volpago del Montello, in the heart of the Marca Trevigiana. Its foundation dates back to 1951, when Count Piero Loredan, an illustrious descendant of Doge Leonardo Lorendan, chose Villa Spineda, a splendid Palladian villa surrounded by vineyards in an area traditionally suited for the production of fine wines, as his residence. In the 1970s, the entire property, including the winery and vineyards, was purchased by the Palla family and is now managed by Lorenzo Palla with passion, elegance, and respect for the environment.

The vineyards of the Conte Loredan Gasparini - Venegazzù winery extend over 60 hectares along the Alta Marca Trevigiana, a hilly area that includes the two main elevations: Asolo, famous for the production of Prosecco, and Montello, populated by woods and consisting of red soil rich in limestone pebbles, granite, porphyry, and clay, suited for the production of high-quality imported red wines. Thanksto the intuition of Count Loredan, now remembered as “the lord of Venegazzù”, clones of international red grape varieties were planted in this area: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Malbec. The vineyard area is now cultivated by the Palla family who, respecting the far-sighted choices of the count, operates with respect for the environment and nature, considering the terroir as the “synthesis of the infinite interactions of the environment with us living beings who inhabit it, with all our traditions”.born in the territory of Asolo.
