Domaine La Renière

Domaine La Renière is located in the heart of the great vineyard of the Loire Valley, the longest in all of France. The estate extends in the area of Puy-Notre-Dame, just a few kilometers south of the city of Saumur. The property is managed by Thibault Masse, a young winemaker who studied viticulture and oenology in Montreuil-Bellay, Dijon, and then completed his studies in Bordeaux. His training continued with important work experiences in Brézé with Romain Guiberteau, in Bordeaux with Châteaux Cheval Blanc and Latour-Martillac, culminating in a work period in Australia to learn the techniques of New World wineries. In 2018, he took over the management of Domaine La Renière in partnership with Guillaume Poitevin and began his adventure in this beautiful region of great wines.

The agronomic management is conducted with the utmost respect for the environment, and the entire estate is in the process of conversion to organic farming.

The philosophy of Thibault Masse is based on three fundamental principles: the vineyard and the natural environment, the winery, and the work of man. The vineyards are cultivated only with organic products and also using herbal teas to strengthen the natural defenses of the plants. The soil work is done gently, to avoid disturbing the microbiotic life of the soils. Next to the vineyards are
