La Vrille
La Vrille is a small winery-agriturismo in the Aosta Valley born from the desire of Luciana and Hervé to embark on a simple and rustic life, in close contact with nature. We are located in the small municipality of Verrayes, along the Via Francigena, at an altitude of 670 meters. The name chosen by the couple to name their activity represents their ideal of vines and their way of working and producing wine: 'vrille' means 'tendril', an essential part of the vine's vegetative process, a small curled green stem that, with discretion and tenacity, allows the plant to cling to supports.
The vineyards of La Vrille form a sort of natural amphitheater and are populated by the most typical grape varieties of the Aosta Valley. Biodiversity is guaranteed by the rich presence of thyme plants, orchards, and raised animals, including chickens, sheep, geese, and rabbits. It is a small property of just under 4 hectares, managed with passion by Laciana and Hervé, relying only on their own strength.
The annual wine production of La Vrille does not exceed 18 thousand bottles and it is difficult to find these wines on the market, because almost all the bottles are consumed in the agriturismo or sold to guests. The multiple recognitions and awards received in recent years have fueled the interest and curiosity of many enthusiasts towards this small winery that, harvest after harvest, continues to amaze and evoke wonderful emotions.
