Oasi degli Angeli
Leading the historic winery Oasi degli Angeli, located between the territories of Cupra Marittima and Ripatransone, are Marco Casolanetti and Eleonora Rossi, for about twenty years now. Their business philosophy has always been unique, as they have approached the principles of biodynamic agriculture from the very beginning. In the vineyard, in fact, the very low yields per hectare are possible thanks to a planting density that is almost incredible and that is combined with the conservation of only one or two clusters per plant. The training method used is the traditional one of the area, the alberello a canocchia, which is a sort of small hut between two adjacent rows.
The products used, to say the least particular, include silicates, mixtures based on propolis, algae, soy lecithin, potassium bicarbonate, and dairy derivatives. In the winery, no form of intrusion is allowed: exclusively indigenous yeasts, sulfur and enzymes absolutely banned, as well as clarifications and filtrations. All these precautions are used for the production of only 2 labels: Kurni and Kupra, which was produced for the first time in 2011.
Kurni is a wine that has been able to obtain the highest accolades from the guides since the year of its first production, in 1997; a wine with a strong personality, the result of extreme selections and capable over time of translating the sweetness of the first years in the bottle into terms of savoriness, as well as offering an astonishing richness of details.
