Veuve Ambal

Veuve Ambal is one of the largest and most famous Domaines in Burgundy, specializing in the production of excellent Crémant. The Maison was founded back in 1898. Anne Marie Ninot, born in Rully, in the heart of Burgundy, married the Parisian banker Antoine Emile Ambal and followed him to the capital. After her husband's death, Marie returned to her hometown where her brother was involved in wine trading. Fascinated by the méthode champenoise, she decided to create a Maison to produce quality sparkling wines in Burgundy. Today, the Maison is managed by the sixth generation and has preserved its family character and ancient savoir-faire, establishing itself as the largest and most important entity in the production of Crémant de Bourgogne.

The Maison Veuve Ambal is located at the gates of Beaune, in a highly prestigious area of Burgundy. The estate covers a total of 250 hectares, divided into six estates in equally prestigious areas: Gracieux Chevalier is located south of Chablis, La Grande Cote, La Vigne au Roy, Chateau de Saint-Aubin are all within the territory of the Cote d'Or, Les Vignes de L'Ange is in the Couchoie area, and Marandes and London are in the southern part of the Maconnais. This variety of terroir is a great resource that allows for a range of very different base wines, which give the blends harmony and complexity, enabling the creation of cuvées of great balance every year.

All the estates of Domaine Veuve Ambal are cultivated with respect for the environment. In the vineyard, sustainable agriculture principles are applied, with minimal use of treatments and limiting synthetic products to a minimum, in order to have a low impact on the natural ecosystem. Part of the vineyards is managed under certified organic farming, and the grapes are used for the Bio Crémant label. The great attention to vineyard care allows for healthy and genuine grapes, essential for the production of great wines. Maison Veuve Ambal offers a wide range of labels: the Collection Prestige is made with a selection of the best grapes from the Domaine, the Collection Nos Domaines is the expression of individual terroirs, the Collection Les Spécialités includes special versions of Bio Crémant, Blanc de Blancs, and Blanc de Noirs, and finally, the Collection Les Cuvées Classiques represents the Maison's calling card, showcasing its refined and elegant style.
