'Alfred' La Regina del Quartuccio

'Alfred' from the La Regina del Quartuccio winery is an intense wine with character, born from the collaboration between Remo, the founder, and his friend and oenologist Alfredino. The name and label pay homage to Alfred Hitchcock's film Psycho, evoking a dreamlike imagery. Remo often uses Sangiovese grapes to produce his wines, experimenting with different vinification techniques in order to enhance their aromatic complexity. The nose reveals hints of red fruit, balsamic and spicy notes, with hints of undergrowth on the finish.
