Montecalvi's ‘Alta Valle della Greve’ celebrates the terroir that follows the course of the Greve River in Chianti. This equal blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon matures for four years in French oak tonneaux to extract finesse and fruit from these two noble varieties. The nose reveals blackberry and currant with hints of tobacco and vanilla, while the palate is broad and silky. An ideal wine to accompany Florentine peposo or traditional Tuscan braised meats
