Feudo Principi di Butera

Feudo Principi di Butera is a leading winery in the wine scene of Sicily, a witness to an innovative and entrepreneurial rebirth on the island, inaugurated over two decades ago by the Zonin family. The origin of this fortunate adventure, undertaken with enthusiasm, passion, and significant investments, began with the renovation of an ancient baglio located within the vast properties that were once reserved for the Spanish-named Principi di Butera, the most important position in feudal Sicily. The estate now includes 320 hectares of land, of which 180 are cultivated, located mainly in the province of Caltanisetta, in a territory blessed by the sun and sea breezes, for which the Zonin family has taken on an important role in preservation and enhancement.

The vast vineyards of Feudo Principi di Butera enjoy excellent pedoclimatic conditions particularly advantageous: great solar exposure for many hours of the day; a temperate microclimate influenced by the nearby presence of the sea; hilly altitude ranging from 250 to 350 meters and white soils with a calcareous composition. The most cultivated variety is Nero d'Avola, which happily coexists with international grape varieties, while among the whites, Chardonnay, Grillo, and Insolia stand out. The large winery has been completely renovated to be spacious and efficient and also includes a suggestive aging room featuring large Slavonian oak barrels and small barrels of fine French oak of 350 liters.

The wines of Feudo Principi di Butera have been a reference point for many consumers and enthusiasts for years. These are labels that guarantee reliability and expertise, born from a long and solid entrepreneurial project focused on quality and the enhancement of the peculiarities of the territory. An unmistakably Mediterranean and island aura surrounds a production that proves capable of standing out and being increasingly appreciated in the most important international contexts.
