Poderi dal Nespoli is a dynamic reality of Emilia-Romagna, producing a range of wines with a typically territorial character, enhancing the uniqueness of the place and the profile of the grape varieties historically present in these generous and rich lands. The estate is located in the heart of the hilly area of Forlì, precisely in the Bidente Valley. It is a true borderland, connecting the Apennine area of Tuscany and the Romagna Riviera. Since ancient times, it has always been a passageway, within a wild and unspoiled environmental context, still preserved today thanks to the presence of the Casentino Forests Park, which guarantees a large green lung rich in biodiversity.
Poderi dal Nespoli is the result of four generations of winemakers who, with love and passion, have always believed in the potential of these lands. It all began in 1920 when Attilio Ravaioli opened the Osteria "Da Tilio" in Cusercoli, which quickly became famous for its genuine cuisine based on typical regional dishes.and for its wine, which at the time was sold in bulk. In 1929, to meet the growing demand for wine, a new winery was built. The wine production became the main activity, so much so that the management of the inn was ceded to fully dedicate itself to viticulture, with the acquisition of Podere Prugneto. The company expanded and began to bottle its wine, selling it directly in the Romagna Riviera area. In addition to Sangiovese, white wines began to be produced as well, with the Albana and Trebbiano grape varieties.
In the post-World War II period, the Poderi dal Nespoli winery was officially established. Agronomic techniques were revised to reduce production per hectare in favor of higher quality wines. In the winery, barrique aging was introduced, also focusing on the longevity of the wines and not just on immediate consumption. During the 1980s, the property expanded with the acquisition of new lands and a qualitative improvement of the entire production, which received important recognitionalso from industry critics, with the recognition of Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso in 2004. Since 2009, Poderi dal Nespoli has been part of the Mondodelvino group and today its wines are present in over 30 countries around the world.
