Tenuta Il Bosco
Tenuta Il Bosco is a large and important production reality founded, expanded, and enhanced by the Zonin family since 1987 in Oltrepò Pavese. Today it includes 152 hectares of vineyards spread over the gentle hills of Zenevredo, always recognized for their great viticultural potential, fully developed in the ambitious project of the Zonin family through experimentation, mapping, and identification of the best crus: Poggio pelato, Conti Vallone, Bellaria, Poggioli, San Zeno, and Meriggi. Each micro-area has been studied in relation to the cultivated variety, in order to make the most of the potential of Pinot Nero, in its different expressions and in the variety of clones.
After years of significant investments, Tenuta Il Bosco now presents itself as a very efficient and large-scale winery. The production capacity records considerable volumes, managing to maintain a very high quality, the result of the entrepreneurial experience in agronomy and oenology of the owners. The main focus has been on Pinot Nero, the trueprince of the estate, without forgetting Croatina and Barbera in a perspective of complete territorial enhancement. The winemaking facilities are well equipped for both red and white winemaking and are equipped with particular soft pressing systems and optimal cold maceration for the production of sparkling bases.
The wines and sparkling wines of Tenuta Il Bosco are excellent and valid representatives of the Oltrepò Pavese territory, today enhanced by a qualitative renaissance promoted by important wineries like this one. The mission that the technical director Piernicola Olmo has always pursued has indeed been to safeguard the already existing traditions, while also seeking to fully develop all the potential of the territory that is still unexpressed. The results have confirmed the validity of the original insights and have allowed this estate to establish itself as a reference point for Oltrepò Pavese.
