The Brunello di Montalcino is the most famous red of Cupano, the label that has introduced wine enthusiasts to the excellence of this winery, located near the village of Camigliano. The success of the label comes from a meticulous attention to every detail, from careful vineyard management, to precision in winemaking, to the meticulous selection of the best woods for aging. Nothing is left to chance. The final result is a bottle of absolute quality, expressing the best characteristics of an excellent quality Sangiovese, complex, intense, and refined.
The red Brunello di Montalcino is the fruit of a winery born with the desire to enhance the territory, through the production of great wines crafted in an artisanal way. The Cupano estate occupies an area of particular value in the Ilcinese territory. It is located, in fact, to the southwest of the hill, in a zone characterized by a climate influenced by the Mediterranean influences coming from the Tyrrhenian coast. The vines are cultivated under organic farming practices, within an unspoiled natural context. The climate particularly mild, allows for excellent ripening of the grapes, which are hand-harvested in the second half of September. The best bunches are subjected to spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks, using indigenous yeasts and with periodic pump-overs and délestage. Before bottling, which occurs without filtration, the wine matures for three years in French oak barriques, partly new and partly already used.
The Brunello di Montalcino Cupano wine represents one of the most important references of the denomination. It has always been appreciated for its elegance and ability to authentically interpret one of the most prestigious terroirs of our peninsula. In appearance, it presents a bright ruby red color with subtle garnet reflections. Refined and elegant, it offers floral aromas of violet, aromas of sour cherry, red currant, cherry, ripe fruit, nuances of spices and aromatic herbs of the Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is intense and well-structured, with an elegant tannic texture and complex, harmonious aromas that lead to a long and persistent finish.
