Ippolito 1845's Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore Riserva 'Ripe del Falco' comes from vineyards that are over forty years old. Austere and enveloping, it undergoes a long maturation process and is capable of further ageing in the bottle. The nose reveals wilted rose petals, hints of autumn undergrowth, black liquorice, leather, fine tobacco and oriental spices. On the palate, it is warm, savoury and has very fine tannins. A meditation wine that pairs beautifully with braised game
