Garganega 'Pri' Sauro Maule 2023

Sauro Maule's Garganega 'Pri' is produced on the volcanic hills of Gambellara from vines that are around 50 years old. This selection of Garganega is called 'Pri', after the winemaker's daughter, Priscilla. During vinification, brief maceration on the skins allows the aromatic profile of the Garganega to be extracted, giving the wine greater depth. The nose opens with hints of yellow fruit, notes of citrus zest and light floral nuances with vegetal hints of aromatic herbs on the finish. The palate is taut, savoury and persistent with good structure and balanced freshness. Excellent with gnocchi with mountain cheese and melted butter
