'Liquid Sunshine' Kristinus 2021

Liquid Sunshine is a Hungarian macerated white wine produced in Kethely, near Lake Balaton. The name and colour of the wine evoke the brightness of hot summer days, designed to be drunk while listening to the chirping of cicadas at sunset. The Chardonnay and Pinot Gris ferment separately, partly in amphorae and partly in Hungarian wooden barrels, and macerate for two months. The nose opens with hints of dried apricot and orange peel, with hints of chamomile and almond on the finish. The palate is structured, with a defined tannic texture and a vivid freshness.
