The Pigato “Bon in Da Bon” by Bio Vio is produced in Liguria in the hinterland of Albenga. The winery has been managed by the Vio family for generations: the current project is to create a true polyculture, an agricultural reality where vineyards, olive groves, and aromatic herb cultivations coexist. Today, Caterina, Camilla, and Carolina are fully in charge of the activities of the farm, taking care of every aspect in detail, from working the land to hospitality. The chosen cultivation method is organic, certified since 1989, following the philosophy that nature and its fruits deserve the utmost respect, in the interest of future generations; in this regard, the Educational Winery project is significant, helping to introduce school-age children to the world of agriculture.
The vineyards of the Pigato “Bon in Da Bon” by Bio Vio are located in the Marixe region in Bastia d’Albenga. The altitude is around 100 meters above sea level and the soil is mainly composed of marlstone and iron, producing wines with a structured character. The climate is distinctly Mediterranean of the summer sun.
