Carl Koch's Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese 'Oppenheimer Kreuz' is a little gem from the Rhineland, a wine of surprising sweetness made from grapes affected by 'botrytis cinerea'. The grapes are harvested from vineyards south of Oppenheim, and this wine can only be produced in favourable vintages. The nose is evolved, with hints of jammy fruit and typical notes of honey and saffron that betray the presence of 'mouldy' grapes. On the palate, it is graceful but dense, with great sweetness. Perfect with great blue cheeses

Cor:
Deep golden yellow
Aroma:
Candied lemon, then apricot jam, ginger and saffron, honey and pollen
