The Sauvignon "Vie" wine from San Patrignano comes from the estate's vineyards, located in the hilly area between the Adriatic coast and the first pre-Apennine hills, in a region with a particularly mild and breezy climate, also thanks to the presence of constant sea breezes. The vineyards are cultivated at an altitude of about 150-200 meters above sea level, with a cool east-facing exposure, which ensures good temperature variations, favoring an excellent ripening of the grapes. The harvest takes place around mid-September, with selection in vine of the best grapes. After gentle pressing, the must is sent for fermentation in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. Before bottling, the wine matures for 5 months on fine lees, in order to acquire structure and enrich the aromatic complexity.
The white Sauvignon "Vie" from San Patrignano is a very classic version of the famous French grape variety, which faithfully presents its best varietal characteristics. In appearance, it is a bright light yellow color with subtle golden reflections. The bouquet is characterized by fragrant aromas reminiscent of sage, medicinal herbs, boxwood, tomato leaf, lemon peel, grapefruit, aromas of white-fleshed fruit, peach, green apple, delicate hints of elderflower and orange blossom. The taste is lively and intense, slightly aromatic, with ripe and expressive fruit, extending towards a savory finish, very fresh and with good taste persistence.
