Fattoria di Magliano
Fattoria di Magliano is located in one of the most vocated and picturesque areas of Maremma Toscana: a hilly landscape at 300 meters above sea level overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, Monte Argentario, and the Island of Giglio. The farm was born in 1996 from the dream of the Lucchese entrepreneur Agostino Lenci, who fell in love with the Maremma territory because it is little anthropized.
The property of Fattoria di Magliano consists of 97 hectares of land, of which 48 are populated by vineyards of Sangiovese and Vermentino but also of Merlot and Petit Verdot. The soils are sandy in nature, with abundant presence of skeleton, the planting density is 6,500 vines per hectare and an innovative drip irrigation system allows for the rational use of water in difficult vintages. The terroir, crossed by beneficial sea breezes and subject to thermal fluctuations favorable to the health of the plants, is ideal for the production of high-quality wines. In the cellar, the oenologist Graziana Grassini manages the winemaking processes with great competence and attention, and from her
her far-sighted insights, the farm has completed a long process of conversion to organic farming. The wines of Fattoria di Magliano are marked by a expressive and territorial nature and by a style of broad international appeal. They are wines with a strong and authentic character: powerful, elegant, enveloping, with a high taste-olfactory impact. Tasting a wine from Fattoria di Magliano means breathing in large sips the sensational and lush landscapes of the Tuscan countryside.
