Weingut Abraham
Weingut Abraham is a small estate from South Tyrol, producing excellent wines made with care and artisanal passion. It is a family-run winery located near Appiano and works with the utmost respect for the land, following the principles of environmental sustainability in all phases of production: from the vineyard to the cellar. The company is in the heart of one of the Italian regions most suited for viticulture. Alto Adige enjoys particularly favorable climatic conditions. Protected by the Alpine chain to the north and open to the south towards the Adige Valley, from which the gentle breezes of Lake Garda rise, it has particularly mild temperatures, with warm sunny days and cool nights. Constant ventilation and the possibility of cultivating vineyards at altitude are another determining factor in the quality of the wines from the area.
The estate is located in an area characterized by soils of various natures, reflecting the geological complexity of the region. In the western part of the property, dolomitic rock predominates, generated aromatic and Schiava. The vineyard In der Lämm covers the summit of a sunny and ventilated hill facing west, a perfect place to bring to maturity grapes of Pinot Bianco of excellent richness and ripeness, coming from old vines of particular value. The area of Unterberg has always been the cradle of Pinot Nero and Chardonnay, which, thanks to the cool climate and soils composed of marls rich in iron minerals, express themselves very well. The plot of Kleiner Sattel hosts an old vineyard of Schiava that grows on morainic and alluvial soils rich in gravel. The vineyard Am Gfillberg, located above San Paolo at 600 meters, hosts the highest vineyard dedicated to white grape varieties and Pinot Nero. Finally, the plot Kreit offers the best conditions for cultivating Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, and Chardonnay.
