Campo alle Comete

Campo alle Comete is the ambassador in Tuscan land of the renowned Campanian reality Feudi San Gregorio, already known for years for having led and participated in the oenological renaissance in the region. The reality of Bolgheri is a dream that comes true in 2016, born from the desire of the Capaldo Family to recover traditions and experiences of the Etruscan region, but also from the desire to travel with imagination in a dreamlike and engaging dimension, comparing a now consolidated winemaking philosophy with a territory of complex richness. The world accessed under the guidance of Campo alle Comete's production has the ancient flavor of summers spent in the countryside and at the same time the contemporary one of memorable flavors and aromas.

The Campo alle Comete vineyards are located in Castagneto Carducci, in the area that runs parallel to the Tyrrhenian Sea along the Etruscan coast. The surrounding hills frame the estate like an amphitheater, protecting it in winter from cold winds and channeling in summer the fresh currents coming from the sea. The 21 hectares of vineyard area are characterized by an optimal exposure to light and host the most typical varieties of the area, particularly Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Once the winemaking is completed, the fruits of these grapes mature and refine in a cellar with the particular architecture of an observatory, where tonneau and barriques are arranged in a semicircle. 

Campo alle Comete is a bright example of how form and content can be completely aligned under the sign of a contemporary and fully expressive production of the Mediterranean territory. Alongside the dreamlike dimension, Campo alle Comete has managed to paint a sensory reality made of fruity aromas and balsamic flavors. On one hand, the greatest inspiration for the Winery has come from the stars and the movements of celestial bodies; in fact, the labels demonstrate a strong connection to the "earthly" riches of this region, reaching peaks of excellence recognizable both by critics and by the palate of enthusiasts.
