Brigaldara

The Brigaldara winery is located slightly away from the village of San Floriano, on a small hill that forms almost a balcony over the valley. It is completely immersed in a natural park, among ancient woods, vineyards, and olive groves. Although it is one of the youngest companies in the Valpolicella area, the Brigaldara winery has been able to amaze from the very beginning with the great quality of its wines, thanks especially to the meticulous work in the vineyard, where low yields and greater extraction are preferred and where natural fermentation and maturation processes are adopted in the winery. Stefano Cesari, at the helm of the company, is a man deeply in love with his land and has always followed the tradition that sees his family as a protagonist in Valpolicella since 1929, but active on the market only since 1979.

Step by step, starting from a winery carved out of an old stable, he has brought the company to its current levels of production excellence, always keeping in mind that it is absolutely necessary to identify the peculiarities of the various areas in order to enhance them to the fullest. In the vineyards of the company, the attention to environmental protection and the reduction of cultivation impact is extreme: targeted fertilizations and only with manure, chemical interventions related exclusively to the presence of the vine moth, use of only copper and sulfur as pesticides, and continuous research for sustainable agriculture.

The first label marketed by the company was the Recioto della Valpolicella, today, however, the winery is particularly noted for its amaroni, with incredible aromas and an unmistakable structure. A winery definitely to be discovered and appreciated.
