Du Vin aux Liens
Du Vin aux Liens is a young reality, among the most interesting and innovative in the landscape of French wine. It was created in 2014 by Vanessa Letort, who until that moment was involved in Tours organizing tourist visits and projects related to the enhancement of the territory. After deciding to embark on a new life in the wine sector, she was fortunate to have some decisive meetings to strengthen her purpose. She began attending tasting evenings at Cav’par 3 in Tours, which convinced her to pursue training at the Enological High School of Amboise, where she had the opportunity to meet Philippe Chigard and his partner Claude, winemakers at La Table Rouge. Thanks to this friendship, Vanessa came into contact with numerous vignerons of the Loire.
Another decisive meeting was with Christian Binner in 2015, who encouraged her to create and develop with Pierre Sanchez and Xavier Couturier of Duo Œnologie the project of Les Vins Pirouettes, in which she was engaged until 2019. At the end of this important formative experience, Vanessa decided to found Du Vin aux Liens, a true maison de négoce of wines inspired by the natural style produced by small winemakers of the Loire and Alsace. The idea is to create a reality capable of welcoming and enhancing the work of passionate vignerons, who produce wines with a straightforward and immediate character, true expressions of the terroir, the grape varieties, and the vintage. Wines made in full respect of nature, without oenological mediations.
The winemakers participating in the Du Vin aux Liens project share a very environmentally respectful approach to the vineyard, inspired by the principles of organic or biodynamic agriculture. Among the rows, they do not use chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or synthetic products, limiting treatments only to the use of copper, sulfur, and natural biodynamic preparations. Vinifications also take place simply and with minimal intervention, with spontaneous fermentations, indigenous yeasts, and no use of additives. Among the partner vignerons of the Loire region,we remember: Domaine de la Table Rouge, Domaine Perrault-Jadaud, Tanguy Perrault and Anne-Cécile Jadaud, Domaine des Fosses Rouge and Domaine La Pensée Filante. The Alsatian estates participating in the project are: Domaine Albert Hertz, Domaine Loberger and Domaine Yannick Meckert.
