Tre Monti

The Tre Monti winery represents one of the wine reference points of Romagna, a historical region where since 1971 the Navacchia family has been producing wines that enhance the characteristics of the territory. It was Sergio Navacchia together with his wife Thea who founded this winemaking reality in Imola with the intent of creating a high-quality production by leveraging cutting-edge practices and technologies. The couple was revolutionary for their time, experimenting with high planting densities and also cultivating non-traditional grape varieties. Today, their sons Vittorio and David carry on the project started by their parents with the same passion, constantly directed towards innovative research.

The Tre Monti estate consists of about 50 hectares of vineyards, partly reserved for local grape varieties Albana, Sangiovese, Trebbiano Romagnolo, and Pignoletto, and partly for international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Petit Manseng. The vineyards are essentially divided into two estates, one in Imola, in the Tre Monti area, where the historic winery is also located, the other on the hills of Forlì. The vineyards of Podere di Bergullo, in Imola, are located about 100 meters above sea level and rest on clayey-loamy soils particularly suitable for the cultivation of white grapes. In contrast, the plots of Podere di Petrignone, in Forlì, are situated at about 150 meters altitude on clayey-sandy soils with the presence of pebbles. The agronomic management is certified organic and in the winery, the winemaking processes are very diversified just like the wine containers used, which include steel tanks, Georgian amphorae, vitrified cement, barriques, and tonneaux.

The range of wines offered by the Tre Monti winery is quite wide and colorful, with selections of sparkling wines, still whites and reds, orange wine, passito, and also a line of labels made without added sulfites. It ranges from bottles with a typically Romagnolo character to interpretations with an international style, with qualities such as excellence and dynamism that characterize the entire production.
